Christening the Ship

Since moving to the Pacific Northwest in August of last year, we've fallen in love with the Salish Sea and all things watery. There are a lot of metaphors to be found in the sea, so when it happened that all the kids collectively decided it was time to chronicle some of our adventures (both by land and by sea), they settled easily on the piratey-looking font and the old world map background.

To extend the metaphor just a bit further, we want to welcome you to this, the proverbial christening of the ship--our first post. Here we'll set sail on all kinds of explorations--each member of the family has his/her own page for posting thoughts, plans, pictures, stories, you name it. We hope you'll do some exploring of your own here, and make some new discoveries about our family along the way.
